Backtrace / Movies / Project

Lionsgate Premiere has debuted an official trailer for an action crime thriller titled Backtrace, starring Sylvester Stallone as a detective. This cops & robbers flick is about an amnesiac criminal, played by Matthew Modine, who is the lone surviving thief of a violent armored car robbery. He’s given a drug that forces him to relive the life he’s forgotten, in order to find the money he hid. The film’s full cast includes Ryan Guzman, Meadow Williams, Christopher McDonald, Colin Egglesfield, Lydia Hull, Tyler Jon Olson, Sergio Rizzuto, and Swen Temmel.

We’ve seen so many of these throwaway action movies, and they pretty much all look the same every time. So much screaming and intensity and gunfire in this glimpse. As always, at least the trailer is free to watch.

News

Ryan Guzman and Edward James Olmos are starring in the feature film “Windows on the World,” a father-son drama about the aftermath of 9/11, Variety has learned exclusively.

Shooting will begin on July 10 in Mexico and New York City. Olmos’ son Michael D. Olmos will direct from a script by Robert Mailer Anderson and Zack Anderson.

Robert Mailer Anderson and Vicangelo Bulluck are producing. “Windows on the World” will start in Mexico, where a man watches the news on Sept. 11, 2001, with his family and travels to New York City to find his father, who was working on the top floor of the Twin Towers. The Windows on the World venues were on the top floors of the North Tower.

Guzman broke into the business in “Step Up: Revolution” and “Step Up All In,” then starred in “The Boy Next Door” with Jennifer Lopez, “Jem and the Holograms,” and in Richard Linklater’s “Everybody Wants Some.”

Edward James Olmos broke out in 1981’s “Zoot Suit” and 1982’s “Blade Runner.” He was nominated for a best actor Academy Award for “Stand and Deliver” and starred in the series “Battlestar Galactica” and “Miami Vice.” He is reprising his role as Gaff in the upcoming “Blade Runner 2049.”

Michael D. Olmos has directing credits on “Filly Brown,” “The Green Ghost,” and “Bedrooms.” Bulluck is a longtime executive producer of the NAACP Image Awards.

Guzman is repped by CAA, manager Tim Taylor of Luber Roklin Entertainment and lawyer Neil Meyer. Edward James Olmos is also repped by CAA.

I’ve gotten my hands on some UHQ production stills of Ryan from the film Everybody Wants Some!. My next goal will be to screencap the movie and add them to the site. I will also try and play catch-up with the Public Appearances.

News / Notorious / Project

It’s official. ABC has announced they’ve cancelled Notorious after one season. Deadline confirmed the cancellation, last night.

The drama revolves around the symbiotic relationship between a charismatic defense attorney (Daniel Sunjata) and a powerhouse TV producer (Piper Perabo) as they attempt to control the media, the justice system, and each other. The cast also includes Kate Jennings Grant, Aimee Teegarden, J. August Richards, Sepideh Moafi, Ryan Guzman, and Kevin Zegers.

While it was never official, Notorious has been considered cancelled for some time. After the series debuted in September, ABC decided to cuts the episode order — not a good sign. Additionally, ratings were never good for the freshman drama.

Over the course of 10 episodes, Notorious averaged .86 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.972 million viewers, making it one of ABC’s least-watched and lowest-rated new series for the 2016-2017 season.

What do you think? Did you see season one of Notorious? Do you think ABC should’ve renewed the show?

Site

After figure out that the old layouts just weren’t going to work, I’ve finally found a theme that will allow me to do widgets. I’ll be fixing the sidebar here and there as sees fits. Let us know what you think of the new look.

Jem & The Holograms / Photos / Project

It seems the current theme is a little out-dated and the script is rejecting some of the stuff I was trying to do in the background but I’ve managed to add screencaptures from Ryan’s movie Jem and the Hologram and hopefully sometime this weekend we will have a new look!
